The Uttarakhand government's passing of an act to provide 30 percent horizontal reservation to women in government jobs was challenged in the High Court. After hearing which the High Court has ordered the state government to submit its reply within 6 weeks. Also said that the result of PCS exam will be subject to the final decision of this petition. Today, the case was heard in the division bench of Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Ravindra Maithani. Be aware that Uttar Pradesh resident Aaliya has filed a petition in the Nainital High Court. In which he has challenged the act of giving 30 percent horizontal reservation in government jobs to the women of Uttarakhand. She said that she is not a permanent resident of Uttarakhand. In the Uttarakhand Upper PCS Exam 2021, even after getting more marks than the candidates of Uttarakhand, they failed.
